Nominations

Partner institutions should nominate their students for exchange via Google form.

The nomination deadlines are:

   - 1 May for the first semester (October - February);
   - 1 November for the second semester (February - June).

After we receive the nomination, the central international cooperation office of the University of Zagreb will send detailed information on how to apply to the nominated student.

The application procedure and the related documents are also explained here.

Application deadlines

The application deadlines are:

   - 15 May for the first semester (October - February);
   - 15 November for the second semester (February - June).

Please note that we do not accept applications for the whole academic year. However, during the first semester incoming exchange students may apply for prolongation of mobility for studies.

Late applications will not be considered.

Learning Agreement

Student exchange candidates can apply for only one of the following study areas:

PAINTING
SCULPTURE
GRAPHIC ARTS
APPLIED GRAPHIC ARTS
ANIMATED FILM
NEW MEDIA
ART CONSERVATION AND RESTORATION

It is not possible to change the chosen study area after the application has been submitted or the selection process has been finalized.

Student exchange candidates are required to enclose the Learning Agreement document as a part of their application.

Erasmus+ student exchange candidates are required (if possible) to prepare their learning agreements through the Online learning agreement (OLA) platform.

All other student exchange candidates should contact incoming@unizg.hr or fmatovic@alu.unizg.hr in regard to the correct format of their learning agreement.

Portfolio

In addition to the application documents, student exchange candidates should send their art portfolio as a single PDF document to fmatovic@alu.unizg.hr. If the file is too big in size to send by e-mail, candidates should send it via service such as WeTransfer or similar.

The art portfolio should represent candidates' best and recent works in the study area they are applying for.

Selection process

There is no automatic acceptance of nominated students.

The number of places for student exchange within our studios is limited and, unfortunately, we are not in a position to accept all of the applications. The selection is primarily based on portfolio evaluation.

The selection results will be sent to student exchange candidates by e-mail within 5 to 6 weeks of the application deadline.
