School of Contemporary Humanities

The Subversive Festival has developed into one of the most important progressive film festivals and highly appreciated intellectual and activist events in Eastern Europe gathering not only acclaimed theorists like Tariq Ali, Gayatri Spivak, Michael Hardt, Slavoj Žižek, Saskia Sassen, Antonio Negri, David Harvey, Bernard Stiegler, Maurizio Lazzarato, Chantal Mouffe, Francois Laruelle, Catherine Malabou etc., but also serving as a platform and network for progressive movements from all around the Balkans and Eastern Europe as well as a bridge between these movements and wider European and global actors. As such the Subversive Forum was listed as one of the main events of the World Social Forum in 2012. For more information, please visit: www.subversivefestival.com (English version available).
