The conversation recorded on May 27 this year forms the backbone of the exhibition, created as a search for an answer to the question of one's own history, within the boundaries of the present and the possibility of perceiving oneself then and now, as well as all other participants in a life story. Slavomir Drinković answers the pre-prepared, seemingly banal questions at his own discretion, in this way narrating his history of artistic activity and living, and as a result of the exhibition "Ješonska", where two months later he will show a selection of works created from 1974 to the present.
The question of the heir is also the question of the one who is currently creating new future goods, and it is impossible to determine the limit of the possible unambiguous role of man in time, which occurs with contemporary imbalance. Drinković also talks about all the changes and facts, commenting on his path and work, and complements the same values with the image of today's time. The work is conceived as a conversation, in which the younger artist asks questions to the older one, in order to try, in the uncertainty of the given moment, to answer the question – how are the present and the future formed, with regard to the existing past? Where are the sources and who speaks from these holes?
Exposing himself and thinking about what he has done, through the perspective of his beginnings on the island of Hvar, on his eternal refuge, Drinković finds the answer in his parents and ancestors. Along these lines, in the reflection of the 80s and 90s, in the "cut", "torn" granite, the reflection is found by the younger artist, in an attempt to find his way out, to take off from his personal past, which occupies him so much. Tight, compacted scars in solid, solid material are interpreted as a series of global events and conflicts, responsible for the formation of an entire younger generation of doves that never flew, created on the fact that the past is an eternal present in which and with which one must live. The conversation, from which the film was made, was recorded at the first planned filming location, in Bilogora, at Bright Stripes, as part of the workshop of public sculptures in wood, which was organized and led by Prof. Drinković for many years.
The remaining places are also part of the work and are presented at the exhibition.
