mr. sc. Nafis Defterdarović

He graduated from the Faculty of Technology, University of Zagreb (B.Sc. in Chemical Technology), and received his master's degree from the University of Zagreb (M.Sc. in Chemical Sciences). He worked at PLIVA as a technologist in the production of vitamin B6, technical manager of the plant, coordinator in the development of active pharmaceutical ingredients, and manager of the MUPIROCIN project. During this period, he gained experience in working with poisons on an industrial scale and received authorization for the person responsible for working with poisons. At the Gavrilović company, he worked as a consultant for technology and environmental protection. At the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Zagreb, Department of Conservation and Restoration of Fine Arts, he participated in the conception and implementation of the course Basics of Toxicology.

Development of production technologies primarily in the field of basic pharmaceutical industry (production of active pharmaceutical ingredients) for various products obtained by chemical and/or biochemical synthesis, environmental protection, analysis and optimization of production processes, quality management, management of water resources for industrial needs, waste management, wastewater treatment.

The course Basics of Toxicology covers the handling of dangerous substances. In the last twenty years, the sources of data on dangerous substances have changed significantly. In the past, these were different manuals. Today, data on the properties of dangerous substances can be found on various websites, which are easily accessible, but the reliability of this data is lower (the importance of critical evaluation).
